Her fervor for public service and dedication to societal change are evident through her active participation in political debates and discussions, particularly on social media platforms.
Khusbu's journey into politics is deeply rooted in her early experiences working on agricultural projects, where she led national-level initiatives and witnessed the struggles of farmers, especially women. Khusbu holds a Masters Degree in International Conflict from the University of Oxford and Kingston University, where she studied human rights, conflict resolution, gender equality, and international relations. This academic background has equipped her with excellent insights into economics and politics, as well as strong analytical skills.
Before venturing into politics, Khusbu made significant contributions as the Founder President of Shelter Ashraya Nepal. Her organization has been recognized for its impactful work in child protection, human rights, and refugee protection. Her political journey has been a blend of challenges and achievements, with a significant increase in women's representation in decision-making roles during her tenure. As the first female candidate from her constituency, Khusbu has championed servant leadership and the involvement of youth in politics. She advocates for a constitutional monarchy within the current democratic framework, believing it can enhance national unity and reduce foreign intervention.
Khusbu's blueprint for Nepal's economic growth and development focuses on key areas such as industry, agriculture, tourism, and Information Technology (IT). She emphasizes the need for policy reforms to address issues like excessive political influence in bureaucracy, brain-drain, labor migration, and capital flight. Khusbu believes in the potential of the IT sector, better irrigation and digitization in agriculture, and the promotion of religious tourism. She also advocates for overhauling the education system to ensure quality education, health, and justice for all citizens.
Khusbu is preparing to run in the national elections in 2027, aiming to inspire and represent grassroots people.
